The Share (Savings) Account establishes your membership and makes you a part owner of Cattaraugus County Employees Federal Credit Union. Dividends are earned based on the average daily balance method. Share accounts earn dividends on balances of $5.00 or more.
Your share draft (checking) account, is built for frequent withdrawals. The most common ways that withdrawals are made from your share draft account are by writing checks, or by using your debit card. When you use either of these methods to pay for something, the funds are immediately withdrawn from your share draft account.
We offer Christmas Club accounts to help you save for your holiday shopping. This account earns a good rate of interest. Dividends for this account are paid at maturity and the checks are issued on the last week of October. Dividends will not be paid on early withdrawals. When you open the account you have the option to have the funds issued as a check, deposited to shares or deposited to share draft. If no option is indicated a check will be issued.
Share Certificates are the perfect way to save your money and earn a higher dividend rate at the same time. Share Certificates can be purchased for 12 or 24 months. All Share Certificates require a minimum deposit of $500.00. Dividends are compounded daily and credited at maturity.
