The mission of the Cattaraugus County Employees Federal Credit Union is to provide a complete line of financial products and services, while at the same time maintaining and/or building an adequate capital base. We strive to know and give our members personal attention and accurate information. Credit unions are different from banks as they are member owned. Credit unions are not-for-profit institutions. Profits are returned to the members by dividends and by lower rates and fees.
The Cattaraugus County Employees Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1968. Our asset size has grown to just over ten (10) million dollars. Credit Unions are financial co-operatives owned by their members, and such, can accept only groups in our field of membership. These can be employees groups, Church groups, or any group of individuals such as social clubs and athletic clubs. Once a group is accepted, family members of the persons in that group can also become eligible for membership.
